Economic Development Queensland is updating the Woolloongabba Priority Development Area Development Scheme to reflect community expectations, industry feedback and government priorities. These changes will improve clarity, remove barriers to housing delivery and respond to technical feedback. A draft Development Charges and Offset Plan outlines the trunk infrastructure upgrades required to service the PDA, how they will be funded and when they are needed.
Public notification runs from 7 August to 29 August 2025. There is only a limited time left to make a written submission. Whether you are a resident, homeowner, landowner, business operator or community stakeholder, your input will help finalise both the amended Development Scheme and the DCOP.
We have built a submission generator to save you time in drafting your feedback. It will guide you through naming your issues of concern or support for specific sections and help you lodge a clear and concise submission.
Meanwhile, the 100 Day Review has officially scrapped the Gabba demolition—a huge win for the community and for East Brisbane State School. But the future of the Gabba precinct remains undecided. The Government’s 2032 Delivery Plan points to high-density development, which could mean missing a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create much-needed green space for our growing neighbourhood. What if instead the Gabba and Cross River Rail sites became a vibrant urban parkland—our own Central Park for Woolloongabba?
Tell us your vision.
